Pipette Tips Manufacturers introduces the process of using tips:
1. Use a suitable tip: To ensure better accuracy and precision, it is recommended that the pipetting volume is within the range of 35%-100% of the tip's capacity.
2. Installation of tips: For most brands of pipettes, especially multi-channel pipettes, it is not easy to install tips: in order to pursue good sealing, it is necessary to insert the pipette handle into the tip, left and right. Tighten by turning or rocking back and forth. Some people also use the pipette to repeatedly hit the tip to tighten, but this operation will cause the tip to deform and affect the accuracy, and in severe cases, the pipette will be damaged, so such an operation should be avoided.
3. Tip immersion angle and depth: The tip immersion angle should be controlled within 20 degrees of inclination, and it is better to keep it vertical; the recommended tip immersion depth is as follows:
Pipette Specifications Tip Immersion Depth
2L and 10L 1 mm
20L and 100L 2-3 mm
200L and 1000L 3-6 mm
5000L and 10 mL 6-10 mm
4. Tip rinsing: For samples at room temperature, tip rinsing helps to improve the accuracy; but for high-temperature or low-temperature samples, tip rinsing reduces the accuracy of operation, please pay special attention to the user.
5. Aspiration speed: The pipetting operation should be smooth and at an appropriate aspiration speed; an excessively fast aspiration speed may easily cause the sample to enter the sleeve, resulting in damage to the piston and sealing ring and cross-contamination of the sample.
